The live weight is 1,200 pounds.

The processor will prepare the steer for hanging in the cooler to age the carcass. Normally around 21 days.  This is called the hanging weight, which will average around 62% or 744 pounds.

Full Beef: 744 lbs at $3.25 = $2,418.00

 Kill Fee from processor $60.00

 Processing fee 744 lbs at .75 = $558.00

Total Cost to buyer is $3,036.00


Total take home weight and processing fee will vary based on the cuts the customer chooses.

You can choose to secure a whole steer or a half.  If you choose a half it will be a side of the animal.  Each customer will choose how they want their side cut. 

The cost will be half as well.

WVCC will be paid from the hanging weight and the processor will be paid directly from the customer.

There will be a $100.00 deposit paid to WVCC to secure your Steer and Processing Date.

The Steer will be processed and completely frozen for your pick up date.  The processor will let you know that date.
